Magnetic Gauges

Working principle

The Rochester Level Gauge operates simply by means of a float lying on the liquid surface actuating (directly or via a gear mechanism) a powerful magnet inside the container which, while rotating, provides an invisible "magnetic field coupling" through a solid head, together with the magnet of the dial pointer.

The dial may be removed and replaced quickly at anytime without loss of liquid, pressure, vacuum, or costly downtime.

Basic and simple but so reliable!

Mounting positions

The Rochester Magnetic Level Gauges can be manufactured for any mounting position

  1. Top Mount, gauge body is mounted vertically on the top of the tank
  2. End mount, gauge body is mounted horizontally on the end of the tank
  3. Side mount, gauge body is mounted horizontally on the side of the tank
  4. Angle mount, gauge body is mounted at an angle on the cylindrical part or dished end of the tank
