History

1931: Mr.Emeric KROCH founded several companies active in the propane industry into Europe.

1937: Mr, M.J. Ladue founded in Dallas Texas USA the company GEC dedicated to the emerging propane industry.

1958: Rochester Gauges Inc, has been formed in Dallas Texas to produce gauge for the propane industry.

1967: Mr. E Kroch and Mr. Jack W. LaDue, president of Rochester Gauges Inc. of Dallas (Texas USA) founded the company Rochester Gauges International S.A.

1968: Rochester Gauges Intl. Started manufacture of float level gauges in Brussels to face growing demand and service the European market.

1969: Due to ongrowing demand for LP-Gas gauges, Rochester built up a strong & confident distribution network for its product within Europe.

1984: Following its mother (successfull) company with "industrial" gauges (non LP-Gas), Rochester started new production line of float level gauges for the Agriculture, Earth-moving, Marine, Leisure industry and industrial sector.

1986: Rochester enlarge its product range with electronic remote systems for mechanical float gauges in order to indicate the liquid volume at a remote location and to control the filling and the unloading of the tank by means of level set points.

1989: Due to its constant expansion the company moved to a new factory located in Wavre, (20 km south of Brussels) Belgium.

1991: Rochester Gauges Intl. started the production of remote systems for propane domestic tank.

1994: The company was certified ISO 9002.

1998: The company was certified ISO 9001.

1999: Kroch Equipment (formerly Kroch Engineering Company) became a division of Rochester Gauges International.

2000: Rochester gauges for LP-Gas market became "CE" approved, according to the PED (pressure equipment directive).

2002: Rochester gauges for LP-Gas market became "∏" approved, according to the TPED (transportable pressure equipment directive).
